Answer to your email last week

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS SO AMAZING!!!!

As I was writing your email I had read a letter Elaina sent to me. She shared your tender experience that you told her about Knowing the Book of Mormon was true. It brought back so many memories of thoughts I had of you as you were growing up. So many times when I saw your sensitivity to the spirit. This letter Elaina shared touched my heart deeply. I am so Thankful Heavenly Father brought back that remembrance to you. It is a witness that Heavenly Father will guide us and direct us in ALL things if we are obedient and truly have a desire to do good. I say this because I was just a young Mom and probably messed up many times and always prayed that I wouldn't mess you guys up. I have no doubt the Holy Ghost guided my thoughts and words that night so that you could have that witness.

Just like the words I sent you last week, I totally know that the spirit guided me in word choice. I was thinking of the lesson we had a few weeks ago in gospel doctrine in D and C where it talks that Joseph Smith had learned so many things, not just things of the scriptures but political things and so much more. He had truly been taught straight from the Lord these things. I truly want to have these same experiences and felt that is what is happening for you on your mission. You testify of it weekly. I love it.

As far as using the word "conduit", It is the word that came to my mind when I was writing and I truly stopped myself from typing it and had a struggle within myself if I should write that word or not. I had remembered that word from your Patriarchal Blessing and didn't know if it would be appropriate to write it. But I had an overwhelming feeling that it was right, because it was the ONLY word that would describe your special relationship. My blessing does not say that but I have truly desired this same thing.
I love reading my kids blessings because it makes me feel like they are my blessings too because everything you do brings me joy and blesses my life. I think about it all the time and am so very grateful how AMAZING all of my kids are. I mean, really, WE ARE SO BLESSED!!!

Sorry, this isn't a separate letter for this week. I really wanted to respond back to you last week but it was so busy at work.

I'm sure Dad is telling you all about the band and the props he made and stuff. It was crazy how Mr Hendricks was saying they wouldn't probably have them until next week and then he basically told dad, oh by the way, I want them tomorrow at Weber Review. eek. Well, you know Dad, he wasn't going to let Mr Hendricks down. He worked and worked and worked to get them done. I helped in the fact that I gave some great ideas and Zac came and helped dad in the garage. It was down to the wire but Dad did it. He got them done. The kids didn't ever practice with them so that was crazy but Mr Hendricks didn't care. He wanted them on the field. Well the judges said they need to figure out how they will use them so they don't cover the kids on the field. For Now Mr Hendrick has them at the front of the field. they are huge, 8x8 feet. I'm sure dad will tell you more though.

Ryker came home on Wednesday! He hasn't changed a bit. Ha Ha, the funny thing was that Zander came up to him and gave him a hug and Ryker said, wow you have grown. Then he turned and saw Calvin who was now about 2 inches taller than Ryker. He said, uh....... and just looked up at him. It was pretty funny. But it was so great to welcome him home. Another funny thing he did was we saw him at the top of the stairs and I was filming. All of a sudden he walked all the way across the top and he was gone. WE all yelled his name and thought he was playing a joke. So we sent Megan to go find him and send him down the stairs. Ha Ha. Apparently someone told him it would be fast to go down the elevator. Of course that would be behind all the people waiting and he wouldn't come down the stair for everyone to see. I thought that would be aprapos for Ryker if he would have come down the elevator.

Dad's foot is healing. of Course he won't stop and he just keeps going but I didn't expect anything less. Ha Ha. I'll include a pic. Also Parents Preview went really good too. Here is Lexie's pic.

Well, you are amazing and I love to feel your love of the Savior and for the missionary work you are doing.

love you so much!

Love, Mommy
