BLESSED SAVIOR- EASTER SUNDAY

Hey Elder Snell!!!

Guess what???? I am writing this email from a SURFACE PRO. It's awesome. It's my laptop for work. Yay. I love it! It's like tablet and laptop all in one. It's pretty sweet. HAPPY EASTER!!!!

I hope you got your packages. I know it's not the same as being home and getting to hunt for easter eggs like Lexie did all by herself...... Ha, you should ask her how she likes being the only child. Well, she did like 48 eggs last night. Crazy! But we hid all of them and then we also had 48 plastic eggs that we put candy in and hid too. So she had 96 eggs to find. and her basket. I was pretty eggcited...... to give her a gift we got her. I would have sent you one too but you probably wouldn't want to worry about having to tote it from place to place. We got her a Lucienda Christ Statue. A small replica of the one at the visitor center. It's awesome. I want to get her and Zac and Megan one so to have to see all the time to remember that Christ's arms are open and extended to all who come unto him. Lexie loved it. I will be giving one to Zac and Megan later so I have no idea what they will think. 

Lexie had a new dress to wear to church today. She looked super cute! I'm attaching pics to this. As you can see in one of her pics she misses you tons!!! :)

Saw you on FACEBOOK!!! Cooking in the kitchen. That was fun. 

For sacrament Meeting, the YW and Relief Society sang a medley with some narrators. Then the choir sand "There is a Green Hill Far Away". It actually went really good. I'm so grateful for the spirit music brings. 

Life has been good. We got everything set for our vacation in May. Dad and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Dad invited Lexie to come with us for some of it....ha ha. I have been giving him a hard time about that. We are going to leave Thursday night and drive to Mesquite. Stay there over night ant then drive to Vegas the next day. We will go play at the Stratosphere  for the day and then stay the night there. From there we will drive to Yuma Az to visit Grandma and Grandpa for a few days and go to church with them. Then Monday take off to go to San Diego. Dad and Lexie are going scubadiving and then I will just hang out at the beach by myself. No way do I want to go in the freezing water. 

We just got home from family dinner. We celebrated Easter and April bdays. Grandma forgot Megans candles and I totally didn't think about it either. Zac didn't say anything.  Finally I heard Mikell saying something so we found a few more candles to make up 20. :( we'll have to get better......... I took a few pic

Excited to talk with you in 27 days. Not that I'm counting or anything. How are you doing? You and Elder McConkie seem to get along really good. OH...............transfers are tomorrow, right??????

DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING YET??? I know it will be hard but you were born to do hard things!!!!! (sorry) I guess your patriarchal blessing mentions a few things like that. :/

I hope you had an amazing Easter. We were talking in relief society about Christ's ministry and how we need to do the basics in our life to keep going. I shared my weirdness with everyone......I shared with them that part of my meditation everyday and scripture study is that I meditate and visualize the Savior. You know all the self help books that say those who visualize success are the ones who achieve success. Well, I told them that I felt like when I visualize warm sunlight pouring into my body that I felt like it was the Saviors love pouring into me and starts from head down to my toes and that I can feel his love. And then that light burst out of me and I see him just as he was when he visited the Nephites with the pillar of light. I visualize him in front of me and I run to him to give him a huge HUG. I know, I'm so weird but it's what helps me to keep my worries, fears, anxiety and just life in check. It helps me to know that my Savior will take that all away and that I will be successful if I can feel his love. But anyway, I love adding that to my meditation daily. If you can see it you can acheive it, right!!! I'm so grateful for my Savior. He is the only reason I am able to do all that I can. I'm so grateful that you are learning more about him personally. 

Will you share with me what you are doing to study? You mentioned it. Did you just go to the topical guide in the New Testament and then find all the scriptures that are located under CHRIST? Or are you finding ALL scriptures? I'm trying to figure out the best way.  Hope to hear how you did it. 

LOVE YOU!!! So grateful for all that you do. I am praying for you and I put your name in the temple. I do that weekly. Just know there are extra blessings for you from the Priesthood POWER!!!

I doubt I will ever be able to finish any of that candy, but it is
pretty tasty!

Looks like everything is going very well at home :) I am glad that
Lexie is doing well and so is the whole family! Tell them all that I
say hi :) what kind of stuff do you tell them about me? Hahaha there
really isn't that much to tell ;)

Wow! Your vacation sounds like it is going to be a party! Super
jealous :) take lots of pictures for me!

I think your "weirdness" is very awesome! You always have a light in
your eyes, so I am sure people were very happy to know how you just
always glow with the light of Christ!  ;)

So, about the study thing with Christ :) Here is what I have been
doing. It takes a long time, but I have been learning so much from it
from the start. I started the Book of Mormon from the very beginning
and doing the marking thing that we are doing as a mission. It really
helps me recognize Christ's attributes and is really helping me come
to know him better. I will attach a picture of the instructions for it
from Preach My Gospel. Also, in order to truly come to know Christ's
character, I have started reading the New Testament from beginning to
end. As I read through, I have been marking in a different color an
example of Christ's attributes as outlined in Preach My Gospel (Faith
& Hope, Charity & Love, Virtue, Knowledge, Patience, Humility,
Diligence, Obedinence). At the end of each chapter, I go into my notes
app and write down everything that I can learn from my markings. I
write down how Christ displayed each attribute I highlighted and how I
can then change myself to better display the same attribute. It is
truly incredible! I am loving it :) let my know if you have any more
questions about it :)

MOM: Love You Caden!!!! The Lord will definitely qualify you but he has A LOT to work with. You are an amazing young man and he knows that you will do all that you can to take his direction. You will be in our prayers as always. I can't wait to get your letter to where u go.
