Hello From Kaysville Utah!

Hello From Kaysville Utah!
Whats up Buddy! HOW ARE YOU GLASSES??? I am dying for a picture. I think you got THE TOP OF THE LINE!!! Ha Ha. How do they look? Have you gotten used to them yet? Tell us all about them. You have the digital graduation? What did the optometrist say about your eyes?
I know, I know, lots of questions but I want to know all of it and whats going on. How your eyes are adjusting and if they are helping you.
My lip is healing VERY well. I am really surprised. It's still kinda painful but I only had to take percocet for the very first day. i REALLY hate how it makes me feel and it made me almost throw up, so when I woke up the next morning and I wasn't in excruciating pain I tried the ibuprofen and tylenol gig and it worked just fine. I will go in for a follow up tomorrow morning and find out how things are going. I'll ask him TONS of questions to make sure all is going well. But he was really confident it is all taken care of.
So when are transfers for you??? Are they next week or this week. I had them down for every 7 weeks but I know Zac had a little different pattern around the holidays. Let us know if anything happens.
Isn't it crazy to think we will be in NY next week. We will arrive on MOnday about 5am. We will have to put all of our stuff in the ballroom and wait until check in time which is about 4pm. they said we could check kids out who want to go and explore NY at time square and stuff through the day so we don't get too bored. That day is kind of a day of do what you want. Tuesday they have us going, going, going all day and we do TONS!!! I'll send you a pic of our itinerary so you can see everything we will be doing. Dad will have to take time to go unload the semi that day and put all the stuff in a moving truck, but that won't take him all day. We could even go to central park. If there is any advice you want to give us of what we could do that was close to time square that would be awesome.
So excited for you to teach the "bible" lady. Hopefully she wanted to meet with you again this last week. Hows things with your companion?
I'm sending you some pics. I love you. BTW, if you are still praying about your education one thing you should consider if you do look at a medical profession you should think about one that might not require you to be on call all the time. :)
I LOVE YOU. Can't wait to hear from you.
LOVE, MOM

STANFORD DAY
ELDER SNELL:
Hello from Queens, New York!!!
Hi Mommy! My glasses are very nice! Definitely helping with the headaches! I originally had the progressive bifocals, but they were not helping at all hahaha so I went in and was reevaluated by a more experienced doctor. He said that the other doctor messed up on my prescription. So, he increased the strength of my glasses and did away with the bifocals, thank goodness! Hahaha the Doctor told me that my case is very common in college students who have to read a lot. As they read things close up for an extended period of time, they become near-sided due to the muscle on their lens losing strength from being strained so much. So, basically, I have ruined my eyesight by studying the scriptures! Hahahaha I think that is awesome! I also have a small stigmatism in my left eye. So my left eye has -1.00 and my right has -0.75. They are a little strong for now, but the doctor said that he was shooting for me being able to keep these glasses for years and years without having to get them updated. So, my eyes will adjust to them :) I am really enjoying being able to see far away again hahaha :) I will put some pictures at the bottom :)
I am so happy that you are doing well with you lip. Those pictures look very painful and sad.... I can’t wait until you get to smile again!
So, transfers are actually tomorrow. I am being transferred to Brooklyn! Next transfer will be a 5 week transfer and the one after that will be 7 weeks. Usually they are every 6 weeks :)
I am super excited for you to come to NY next week!!!!!! You are going to have tons of fun! I was thinking of getting a giant flag and standing at the edge of the East River and waving it to you hahahaha I doubt I will be able to do that though haha. It will probably be weird for you looking at my mission from the other side of the river though! :) take lots of pictures :) Go exploring! Use Google Maps! Go to Serendipity Ice Cream Parlor! Central Park is a blast! Usually there are a lot of street performers there :)
Things are going really well with Elder Fausett and I! I have learned a ton from him! It was a good 2 transfers with him :) It was really nice to stay with someone for more than one transfer Hahahaha I am really nervous for who my new companion will be though haha
About my education hahaha have you had a chance to research some fields for me? What kind of positions won’t be on call? Are surgeons usually on call? I wish I could research these things myself Hahahaha oh well
I love you Mom!
MOM: YOU ARE VERY HANDSOME!!! Those glasses are great. I'm glad you got rid of those bifocals! Crazy that he gave you a bit stronger prescription, that part isn't the expensive part. They can always switch out the lens and you can keep using the frames. If your eyes don't adjust you should go back and have them do your prescription. :)
WOW! Brooklyn. Not traveling too far eh. Will you continue to be a zone leader or are they giving you a break?
I'm so glad things were good with you and Elder Fausett.
I will just imagine that you are there waving that flag. I don't know if there is anytime to take something to the mission home for you but is there anything you need? Remember, we need to get your Christmas in the mail here soon!!! :)
Love you Buddy!!!!
LOVE THE PICS!!!

UPDATE:
HI,
I saw the surgeon this morning and he confirmed that I am healing actually at a very fast rate and doing GREAT!!! I asked how do I know for sure that it won't be spreading somewhere else and he said my type and circumstances were a 0.0001% chance of spread. So basically 100% but I guess he can't say that. Ha Ha. It made me feel really good and I know everything will be ok.
Just wanted to let you know. Hope to hear from you today. Love you so much!
Mommy
