Hello Elder!!!

Oh my goodness, I love reading your letters. You are so inspiring. Thank you for always lifting me up. 

I do want to know though, who your companion is and all about him. You didn't even say a word about that in your last letter. So send some info :)

How is Elaina? I hope you guys get to email each other. She sounds like she is doing well on her mission. 

I'm not sure how to feel right now without having to be working on Trek, although I am still trying to write all about it for my journal. I’m on page 10 and have only talked about the first 2 days. Ha Ha. I guess I have a lot to say about that subject. I started looking through all the pictures and there are over 4000 pics. But I’m sure you are done hearing about that. It’s only been a whole year, ha ha. Sorry.

Dad is having surgery on Tuesday. I pray it goes well and it helps to stabilize his ankle. He will have to use Grandpa Snell’s scooter for a week or so until he can walk on it. I hope he heals very quickly because the band season has started and he is in charge of the semi. I guess we can all pray really hard.

We had a family reunion for the Mecham side. We did it up at the White farm. Do you remember going there? It was a while ago. We all gathered on the lawn and had lunch. Grandma and Uncle Roy talked about stories of Grandma and Grandpa Mecham. I recorded a lot of it. Then Uncle Troy sang the song he wrote about Grandpa Mecham and Grandma Mecham missing him. It was sad that my Uncle Steve told his family that the reunion was on Monday instead of Saturday, so they didn’t show up until about 2 and a half hours after we started. One of his sons was going to be coming into town by Monday, so he missed it completely. I felt bad for them. Uncle Steve might be getting forgetful. It’s hard to watch them all get old.

Sorry, I don’t have too much to write about today. Guess it’s probably a boring letter. I love you tons!!! Btw, Lexie is driving. Ha Ha. It was so funny many days she came home with a Fizz drink or Maverik. She said she had to treat herself. We’ll see how long her money will last. Speaking of money, she bought herself a piccolo with her bday money she got from grandparents and Carolyn. Ugh. That’s a screeching thing. I had to go hide up in my room. Ha Ha. She could have her own band with all the instruments she is collecting.

OK. I love you. I miss ya tons! Ryker comes home in 9 days and Stockton Welch just came home. Time flys.

Oh, also, make sure you wear your sunscreen. I am paying for not wearing it long time ago. I had Basal Cell Cancer removed from my head a few weeks ago. The md thought he got it all but I will go back in 4 months to check back up. So wear your sunscreen.

Time Flys Fast!

June 25, 2017 Hey buddy!!! How are you? Hows the weather been? Still crazy rainy? It's been way hot here. I loved your video of the rain. That was crazy sauce.  This week has been good. Not too crazy, just working and spending time with Dad as much as I can. Today is our 25th Anniversary, crazy! Life really goes by so fast.  We are watching the drum corps right now. Cool but they will get better with time. YO YO YO ONE YEAR!!!!

July 16 2017 WOWZERS!!!! I can't believe you will have been on a mission for 1 whole year on the 20th........ CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! This world is flying by so fast and I can't even keep up. I can't believe we are already going to be going on trek in 10 days. Any you have been gone almost 365 days.. WHAT... Well, I can't wait to hear all about your new opportunities. I pray you are looking to the Lord to help you do everything. I was thinking about that today and it's something I'm going to share with they youth on Trek. It is easy to get so overwhelmed with everything that is coming at you and all the responsibility that seems to pile up. Sometimes I just want to go in my closet and cry. I think, no way, I can't do one more thing. And then guess what? I pray to My Father in Heaven and somehow he makes things work out. Testimony of Trek

August 6 2017 Hello Buddy!!! Wow, these weeks are flying by so fast!!! I started writing my Trek book and it's about 6 pages now and I am only on the first trekking day. Ha Ha. Ya, probably too much details that I am putting into it but I will give you a quicker version.  I had already told you how we were setting it all up for gear drop off and how we were getting everyone to the stake center that morning. Well, the night before I heard the rain and thunder...... oh man. I went into my closet to pray that I know Heavenly Father needs us to learn something on trek but I did ask if it be his will would he temper the weather. Ha Ha, here I am asking for the weather not to be too hot and also not to be rainy.  So at drop off we had many youth that didn't show up and ended up not coming and some that said they will show up in the morning.
