GOODBYE TO ELAINA

JUNE 4 2017

Hey Buddy!
So this week has been..... well, it's one we are getting through.

Elaina came to visit for the last time before she goes on her mission. My heart is sad and happy all at the same time. Just like sending out my own daughter. She isn't good at goodbyes and so I tried not to make her cry too much. Only a few tears. Here are some pics.

My favorite cuz Chip wouldn't hold still.....He was revved up to play with the tennis balls that the Hadley's brought over for Dad's BDAY.

Here's a pic from Dad's Birthday on Friday. We both worked but then we went to Grannie Annies for dinner. Then of course we had to go get pie.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD----47

this is Dad dusting and changing batteries in our blinds. Lexie had her friend Danielle over and she asked why the blinds weren't all closed or all opened. We haven't worked those things in I think over 6 or 7 years. Ha Ha. So dad of course had to fix them. I'm so glad because I love it when they are open. I had to go do laundry though cuz he was a bit scary...... I'm sure you can imagine. It's dad. Ha Ha.

So like I mentioned above the Hadley's came and gave Dad a bag full of Tennis Balls. Probably over 20 of them. Well, Chip actually loves them and he wouldn't stop all day. He kept wanting to play, he never got tired. So I am sending you the video I sent to the Hadley's saying thank you for the BDAY gift, this has been ALL day......

(see the movie attached)

Hope you liked little Chip. He's so cute but after about 20 minutes you want him to stop and it goes on for the whole day....

So on Friday I didn't get the best news. Kris came in and said she had been on the phone with the Joint Commission and they told her they are coming to do a survey soon and it would be a 4 day survey again...................aaaaagggggghhhh!!!!

I couldn't believe it. My body went into PTSD mode :(  The first thing I had to do was go and kneel on my knees and say a prayer. It's crazy how something like that can throw your body into a panic. I knew we would have them coming back but it was supposed to be for just for one day. Just talking about it gives me anxiety but I have been praying hard to just have faith that all will go well and that I will be able to do a good job and have the spirit with me when they are interviewing us and that we will have all the things that we need. Heavenly Father has already been giving me promptings of things to go look at and make sure are ready. I fasted today and I have felt calm and know that it will all work out. I did ask Dad for a priesthood blessing tonight to help me. I'm so grateful for the priesthood power. Heavenly Father is full of strength and comfort and I know that with Him, anything is possible.

I listened to a talk given by Elder Bednar that really helped me today. It's Therefore they hushed their fears. Given in April 2015. It helped me remember who wants me to keep fearing everything in life and that I can be given the power to overcome that.

I can't wait to hear all about your week and how your new companion is. I hope you will tell us all about him. Send pics. Is he easy to get along with? Are you still the DL?
Tell me all about the transfers.

Today in sacrament meeting the Bishop conducted so he bore his testimony. He talked all about how we have 14 missionaries, serving or almost serving in the next few months. Holy Cow!!! That is amazing. after he got finished there were so many priests that go up and bore their testimony and the spirit was so strong!!!! they are a great group of young men but they all said how much all of you who are on your missions now have helped them and were such a great example. Chandler Cox was the one who said that the Bishop actually challenged them all to get up and bear their testimonies. So ALL of them did and so did the leaders. President Hogge was there too. There were a few young men that declared they were going to serve a mission that had said they weren't going to. I was a mess and it just made me love and miss you so much! I'm so grateful for all you are doing.  I love you buddy. I am so grateful for you being willing to share the gospel.

I hope you had time to read the special letter I shared with you. You truly are a special gift from Heavenly Father and you are changing lives FOREVER!!!!

Love you buddy. Love Always,

Mommy
