I LOVE to See the TEMPLE

Hello my son!
What an amazing week for you, huh! Tell us all about your new companion and where you are. My mom sent you a package, I hope it will get to you. She sent it to the Melville Apartment since you said you were going to back there. BTW, we haven't talked since I sent you a package, did you get it?
We did our Ma and Pa training tonight. It was fun, we did handcart safety and had some devotional and activities. I know Lexie thinks we are doing trek stuff non stop and it probably seems that way. It's been a lot of planning but it has been amazing seeing the lords hand in everything. So grateful for such an opportunity. I have never done something so big like this, well being in charge of it. I just keep praying that Heavenly Father will continue to bless s and guide us. Actually, that's just how I live my life, praying I can hear his direction and pray I will follow it. :)
I ABSOLUTELY love hearing about your mission. So grateful for your many spiritual experiences and opportunities to touch lives. You are sooooo amazing.
So dad and I had a very special opportunity to go to the temple with Elaina. I had the sweetest lady sitting next to me on the same row as Elaina and she kept looking at Elaina and she said to me that she was a very special person inside and out. I told her I know and that I hope that she is my daughter in law someday. Then she asked all about you. She is an older lady and she was colored. I have no idea what nationality she was but she was so funny, she said she was from SLC and that there weren't very many black people in the bountiful temple. I grabbed her hands and told her I loved her. She really was so sweet. She kept looking at Elaina and she loved seeing the tenderness on Elaina's face as she received her endowment.
It was really tender. i think i cried tons through the whole session, knowing that Elaina was accepting all that Heavenly Father had for her and how amazing he is and loving. It truly was like going through with one of my kids. I know that I can't make you marry her and I know that everything is in the Lords hands but she sure is special!!! I got to give her a huge big hug in the celestial room and watch her family welcome her and embrace her. Wow! I loved that when you went through. It's just so amazing. Then her mom introduced her sisters and brother in laws that were there. I gave each of her sisters a hug. The gave really good hugs. I may have said that I pray you guys bet married. Hee Hee. Sorry!
Anyway, it was way special to be invited by Elaina to be there.

ELDER SNELL: Hi, Mommy!
It is so good to hear from you! I feel like it has been a month since
my last preparation day! My week has been so good, and I will tell you
more about it in my weekly email for everyone. I am back in my old
apartment in Melville! Whoo! It feels like coming home after a month
long vacation haha. I did get my package from you! Thank you so much!
I really appreciate you sending that stuff to me :)
That is awesome that you are doing so well with getting trek planned
and running! I know that the Lord definitely called the right people
to help plan and run His trek for the stake. Thanks for being such an
amazing example to me of praying and listening to the Spirit. I am
still working on that whole recognizing and understanding the Spirit
thing, but I have learned so much about him through some pretty unique
and amazing experiences.
I am glad that someone enjoys hearing about it ;) Hahahaha I am only
kidding! I love being out here SO much and wouldn't trade this time I
have as a missionary for anything this world has to offer. I have
grown so much as a person and as a disciple of our Savior, Jesus
Christ, out here on Long Island. I am so grateful that I have been
able to stay in the Plainview ward for so long. It has given me the
chance to truly love these people and honestly feel like I am apart of
their family. Everyone keeps telling me that my Mom would kill them if
they didn't take care of me, so they make it a point to me that I
should tell you I am being taken care of hahaha. I have learned so
much from each of the members of this ward and each of the people I am
working with to help them come closer to their Father in Heaven. It is
truly incredible to be apart of the Lord's work.
That is so awesome that you both were able to go through the temple
with Elaina! I love the temple so much! I definitely agree with you
and the lady you were sitting next to. It is hard not to notice such a
special person like Elaina. She radiates with the Spirit and the love
of Christ. You do too! Thank you for always sharing your special
testimony of Christ and His gospel with everyone around you. "Always
share your testimony with everyone, and when necessary use words."
Thanks for being a prime example of living the gospel!

Hey, how is the weather out there. Supposedly your getting about 18" of snow today?
ELDER SNELL: Right now the weather is just a little cold. We have been getting blizzard warnings all weekend for tonight into tomorrow morning. It is supposed to start snowing tonight at 11 and go all day. We'll see how that goes haha :)
