I NEVER WANT TO STOP LEARNING

MAY 7 2017

Hello Elder!!!!
Oh my goodness this week was amazing!!! I'm just so grateful for all the wonderful experiences I have been given. I decided that the education i want to continue to pursue is Spiritual education. I LOVED WOMEN'S CONFERENCE. I started the day with going to the temple. I had to go on Wednesday because I was leaving work early to go down to BYU that day. Amy Patterson and I went down together. We stopped at the store to buy shoes for me to wear the next day and i also found my Trek shoes!!! They are soooo comfy. Anyway, after we did that we checked in and then went and took pictures at the Provo temple and then the Provo City temple. It was fun.

 BEAUTIFUL HUH!!! It was fun.
Then the next 2 days we basked in the spirit and JOY with having so much fun together. We are soooooo much alike. I just love her and am so blessed to have such an amazing friend. Here is a few things that I learned.....

"There is POWER in Clear Doctrine" In moments of hurt or frustration, CONNECT with the Doctrine....Be PATIENT, PERSISTENT, CONSISTENT! " Jennifer Brinkerhoff Platt
"WE need to invite the Savior to Come Close" WHAT IS THE QUALITY OF THE VOICE IN YOUR HEAD?" TUNE into the voice of your ADVOCATE" - Wendy Ulrich

Amy and I went to the Service Acitvity and helped to put together Back Packs for the Inner City schools for the Granite School district. As we were serving we had the  General Primary Presidency come to our table and start helping us. Of course Amy and I were dorks and asked to take pics with them. I added the pics Amy posted on line of us at the conf and then the service project. Ha Ha, she posted #servingwiththeblazerladies. LOVED IT!

I made it home Friday night and Dad and I went to the Kasparians for Rhets BDAY pool party. They have a beautiful pool put in the back yard. We didn't swim but just hung out and talked. It was fun.
Saturday we went up to Deseret Land and Livestock and did our Trek Route review. It was fun to see where we will be trekking. Beautiful area!!!! It will be amazing.
Here is the group that went up some of our committee chairs.Inline image 5
Saturday was busy, we came home and got ready to take dads DJ gig down to Bountiful for Rachel Roddas wedding reception. DAD rocked it out there. They had a blast. I left early and went to the Adult session of stake conference. Elder Spannaus area 70 came and he was incredible. Here is a little snipit.....
From Adult session tonight-Elder Spannaus:
No one can take away from us our Personal relationship with God! .....Review your TRADITIONS--Don't establish traditions that would take away from light and truth....THE WORLD IS OUT OF CONTROL but the LORD is IN CONTROL"

Then Sunday Stake Conference was great too. The only problem was that the video feed to the other buildings didn't work and they were scrambling to get them up and going. Many people came to the stake center and others sat patiently. They finally got it going with Dads help. Looks like it was a church wide problem for other stake conferences going on in the area but Dad helped them reroute a few things. Lexie and I sang in the choir. WE are so blessed with so many service opportunities. I am so grateful.

I started studying the actual Doctrine and I can truly say that I KNOW that God lives and that he is actually my Father and we are in his image therefore can become like Him just like you have become like Dad and I in some ways. It's pretty cool but as I learn what is actually Doctrine, I hear it in everything that others say. I know the doctrine of the church I just haven't categorized it that way so that is my goal to learn the 9 basic ones and then go from there.

Love you buddy. i am sooooooo sorry this email went so long. I guess I had tons to share.

TELL ME WHAT WE CAN PLAN FOR MOTHER'S DAY!!!!! I'M SO EXCITED TO SEE YOU!!!! BEST PRESENT EVER.

LOVE YOU!

Love Mommy

ELDER SNELL:
Hi Mom :)

Wow! It sounds like your week was phenomenal!!!! I am so glad that you had a good time at Women's Conference! I love your pictures :) You look so happy and full of the spirit in them! I am also very convinced (and have been since I was 3 years old) that you are going to be a general authority ;) You are just always so full of the spirit and it makes me happy!

"A study of doctrine changes behavior better than a study of behavior changes behavior." (Not sure who said that, but it is still true) I have definitely seen that as I have studied pure doctrine, that is when I have seen the most growth in my character and the spirit I feel on a day to day basis. I am so grateful for the doctrinal resources we have as members of the restored church of Jesus Christ! I love it :) I also love you! I am excited to see you all on Sunday. It will be a party :) I get out of church at 4, and then Elder Imlay and I are going to run home to get some food. So, would 5:00 work for all of you? That is 3:00 your time :) if it needs to be later, that is fine. I just won't be able to do earlier than that very easily :) let me know! Also, there is no real time restraint, so if you have a large list of questions, that is alright ;) hahaha

Love you!

MOM: Hi Buddy! I'm so sorry I didn't see your email while I was at the conference today. So I didn't respond back to you while you were on your email. But we would love it if we could talk with you after our church if it isn't too late for you at 4:30 our time and 6:30pm your time. We have church until 4pm. But if that is too late for you let us know.

You'll have to tell me why you thought that since you were 3. I wasn't aware that you thought that. Ha ha.

Love you!
