Love your Parents ;)

SEPTEMBER 18, 2016

HEY!!! Have I every told you how cute Chip is??

He is laying here by me and Dad and he is just so cute!!!! Zac says we say that ALL the time. Chip is soooo cute! I think I tell him probably 20 million times. Ha Ha! Poor guy gets kinda spooked though when dad pulls out his CPAP machine. oh btw, dad has a CPAP machine. He just got it a little bit ago to help with his snoring and sleep apnea. But he has hated the mask and the fact that Chip runs away when he puts it on. But he got a new mask that only goes in the nose now and he is doing a little better. He still hates it but Chip doesn't run away with this one. So that's good.

So today I got the opportunity to teach the YM/YW lesson for the Hunters Creek Ward Conference. I love the opportunity to teach. I felt really strong that I should teach about their relationship with their Parents. And that if they feel the least bit resistance to talk with them or they feel like a wall goes up the minute they talk to them that they need to recognize that feeling and know that there is only one person here on the earth that doesn't want them to Love their parents. It's the adversary and all of his legions of angels. I plead with each of them to do what ever they could to try and soften their hearts and recognize when that feeling starts. I told them about the scriptures and how amazing they are because they are there for us to give us strength to do the things that The Lord wants us to do.

I shared that they needed to do everything they could to have a relationship because you never know what could happen. I shared about my dad, 2 years ago today passed away and how grateful I was that I had a chance to have my Dad share with me his Love of the Gospel and how much he loves God. Just like Lehi did to his son's and the agony he had over his 2 sons, Laman and Lemuel.

Anyway, sorry to repeat my lesson to you but the spirit was sooooo strong and it was silent with all the youth listening.  It truly was amazing to feel that and to know that it was all from our Heavenly Father.

Anyway, I have felt lifted up today even though it's a hard day of memories but beautiful ones at that too. Do you ever feel Grandpa with you? I feel him with me all the time and I look at my bear and smile at him. I'm so grateful for our Angels that look out for us. We went to the cemetery today and hung out for a little bit. My Mom was having a hard time and thanked me for being there and all the care I gave to my Dad. She said it was truly amazing that I was able to do that. It truly was. I was so blessed to be able to just leave work and go take care of my Dad. I was so blessed to have such an amazing family to support me. You guys were so forgiving and I loved how you were able to be there for me. Thank you . I love you buddy.

oh, I got a new phone. I got a 7. I am so excited to get rid of my iphone 6plus. I didn't like how big it was. Now I have just a regular 7. It's great.

Well, sorry I just went on and on about my lesson. I just am so grateful for the chance to share and I pray all the time for you and that maybe something I can share with you will help you. You always help me and I want to give back :) I really pray you are Happy and that the Lord is blessing you. Let me know what I can do to help you.

I'm so sorry!!!! I wasn't able to get the package in the mail because I was still working on it. but I will send it this week so be looking for it. i have no idea how many days it will take to get to you.

LOVE YOU SO MUCH BUDDY!!!!

Have an amazing Day!!!

Love, your MOM who is soooooo grateful to have such an amazing relationship with you!!!!!

ELDER SNELL: Hi, Mom!!!!!

I miss Chip! He is the cutest! Haha

Dad actually agreed to use a CPAP machine???? How did that work out? Hahaha

I am super happy you got an opportunity to share your amazing testimony with the youth! I really miss hearing you speak. I always feel the spirit every single time you bear your testimony. The spirit cannot be restrained when one is bearing testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Especially when that person is you!

I can honestly say that I feel Grandpa with me almost every day. I walks with me as we go knocking and he likes to come to our super spiritual lessens with investigators. He also really enjoys coming to our sacrament meetings :) I love feeling his presence and the power spirit he brings :) I was thinking about you and Grandpa all day, yesterday. I really miss him, but he hasn't really gone anywhere. We just can't physically see him at the moment. He is always with me, and he is always with you! Grandpa and the Savior are truly helping me become the best missionary I can be. I do still have a lot to learn though :)

I love you Mom! I am so blessed to have the relationship I have with my parents :) I have given it a lot of thought actually. Not many kids have the blessing of having their Mom and Dad as some of their best friends. It is quite sad, really. They don't know what they are missing out on ;) Thanks for always emailing me, and for loving me enough to let me leave for two years. I have only been out for a couple months, but I have already grown so much!

The spirit just told me that I should share our Mission Vision with you :) here it is

"I am set apart from the world as a representative of our Lord, Jesus Christ. I am here to serve Him with all my heart, might, mind, and strength during the hastening of His work. Through my exact obedience, true faith, and willingness to act in all diligence, miracles in others will happen. By studying and applying Preach My Gospel, I am forever changed.
Baptism is the Gate
The Temple is the Goal
The Members are the Key
The Doctrine of Christ is the Path
And the Atonement is the Only Way"

I love you, Mom!!!
Love,
Elder Snell

MOM: I definitely felt the spirit as I was reading this. I love you Buddy. ❤
