Where in the World is Elder Caden Snell??? :)

Hey, hope all is well. I'm sure you have many people asking you where your letter was last week. Did you just run out of time or did you have a different PDay? 

So this week was a busy one. Aspire presented a check to the Rose Park Elementary School for $3,800 that we raised from the walk-a-thon. They were so excited!!!! The kids that we got to present the HUGE check to were so excited. 

Then that night we went with the Patterson's to Brother McConkie's Nauvoo collection gallery. It was called "Gallery of Light". Brother McConkie is so amazing. His photography is inspiring and he had it all displayed in a shop on Old Kaysville's Main street next to the dry cleaners. Just down the street from the theater. We walked around and read the captions that went with the pictures and the he told a few stories about Navuoo. I invited my Mom. She came a little late but she enjoyed seeing all the prints too. She is excited to go on her mission. I'm excited that I get to drive her back there and then stay a few extra days, hopefully I will get to see of the sites, but then again, it will probably be FREEZING! 

Thursday night we went to dinner with Dad's friend Jim Reamy. I don't know if you remember him but he was the friend that Dad worked with from the Hotel and went on the motorcycle trip with them to San Francisco. Jim usually calls around the same time September 14th in memory of Dad's brother. So we went to Canellas. It was so YUMMY!!!! We had Chocolate Beet cake. Sounds yucky, huh. But it was so good. WE also had some amazing carrot cake. The dinner I had was amazing. It was Tortellini with Chicken in Creme Vodka Sauce. Oh man was it ever yummy. It was a red sauce with cream in it. Of course all the Vodka is cooked out. Ha Ha. 

I was on Good Things Utah on Friday. Oh my goodness it was awesome. I was there to be interviewed about Hospice. I was way nervous but I knew I needed to do it. I sent a message to my mom to tell her I was going to be on TV that morning. She looked it up and saw that David Archuletta was going to be on the same program. NO WAY!!! I was so excited. The people on the interview were way chill and made me feel comfortable. I'll send you pics of all of it. David ARchuletta played one of his new songs and I was right there in the audience to witness it. He really is an amazing man. He was so full of the spirit. I got to go get a pic with him and I thanked him for his amazing spirit and songs that Hospice could relate to as well. He was so thankful i would say that. It was really funny too cuz Megan was freaking out that I was there when David Archuletta was and she said I should get him to say Hi to her. So I videoed him saying Hi to her.. Ha Ha. She freaked out over it. :)

Yesterday was the Nebo competition for band and it RAINED!!!! IT WAS RAINING HORRIBLY!!! We had to get out the "Band Panchos". Lexie was so exicted, she has always wanted to wear one. We were drenched a quite cold. But they performed and got color guard and percussion caption. And.....can you guess...... took 2nd. Ha Ha. 

Today was Rykers homecoming. I recorded it so I will send it to you. I then had to teach a lesson today. It went really good. I am so thankful for the spirit and guidance in my life. The spirit was sooooo strong. I shared by "Pay Day" letter with everyone about your Book of Mormon experience. I told them that all we have to do is small things at a time and Heavenly FAther will help us even if we feel we are failing, he is making sure our kids still turn out right!!!! My lesson was on Over Coming the World, Elder Andersens talk from last conference. Sometimes it can feel so overwhelming to try and overcome the world but if we take it bit by bit and know that we are striving to do better we will be blessed. 

I'm so thankful for my blessings and my blessing of having you serving your mission. I LOVE YOU BUDDY!!! I pray for you all day long and know that our Heavenly Father is watching over you.

Hahaha sorry for not writing back to you last week ðŸ˜… We had a district activity at the edge of our area and I didn’t plan on finishing as late as we did. We got back to the church around 5:45-50 and I totally forgot about writing emails hahaha. Sorry for the worry.

Wow! It sounds like you had quite an eventful week :) you were on TV?????? That is SO. COOL!!!! With David Archuletta, no less! You are incredible :) were you interviewed because of the walk-a-thon you did for the elementary school? 

Sounds like the band is doing really awesome! Thank you so so so much for the pictures! :) :) are those big yellow squares Dad’s books that he built? I wish I could hear the show hahaha make sure you get a good video of it for me to see when I get home. Speaking of getting home, how is Ryker doing???? :) :) :) It’s weird to think that he is back home now. I am sure that his family is just loving having him around again! 

So, is your new calling to teach in relief society? You are a fantastic teacher, so that would be really neat! I hope you don’t feel like you are failing as a Mom, because you most certainly are not!! You should see some of the parenting that goes on here....... I am so grateful that you are my Mom :)

Time Flys Fast!

June 25, 2017 Hey buddy!!! How are you? Hows the weather been? Still crazy rainy? It's been way hot here. I loved your video of the rain. That was crazy sauce.  This week has been good. Not too crazy, just working and spending time with Dad as much as I can. Today is our 25th Anniversary, crazy! Life really goes by so fast.  We are watching the drum corps right now. Cool but they will get better with time. It's still really early in the season.  We had a way long trek meeting today but really feel like the Lord is guiding us and we have so many amazing people who are helping to plan it. YO YO YO ONE YEAR!!!!

July 16 2017 WOWZERS!!!! I can't believe you will have been on a mission for 1 whole year on the 20th........ CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! This world is flying by so fast and I can't even keep up. I can't believe we are already going to be going on trek in 10 days. Any you have been gone almost 365 days.. WHAT... Well, I can't wait to hear all about your new opportunities. I pray you are looking to the Lord to help you do everything. I was thinking about that today and it's something I'm going to share with they youth on Trek. It is easy to get so overwhelmed with everything that is coming at you and all the responsibility that seems to pile up. Sometimes I just want to go in my closet and cry. I think, no way, I can't do one more thing. And then guess what? I pray to My Father in Heaven and somehow he makes things work out. I pray for strength to meet the challenges and I pray for peace to know I can do this. I've imagined this week as being called to...

Testimony of Trek

August 6 2017 Hello Buddy!!! Wow, these weeks are flying by so fast!!! I started writing my Trek book and it's about 6 pages now and I am only on the first trekking day. Ha Ha. Ya, probably too much details that I am putting into it but I will give you a quicker version.  I had already told you how we were setting it all up for gear drop off and how we were getting everyone to the stake center that morning. Well, the night before I heard the rain and thunder...... oh man. I went into my closet to pray that I know Heavenly Father needs us to learn something on trek but I did ask if it be his will would he temper the weather. Ha Ha, here I am asking for the weather not to be too hot and also not to be rainy.  So at drop off we had many youth that didn't show up and ended up not coming and some that said they will show up in the morning. We also had a Ma and Pa decide not to come and didn't tell us. We didn't know until the night before we left. WOW. It's...
