My Feet Don't Touch The Ground
OCTOBER 23, 2016
Did I tell you how jealous I am that you shook Elder Hollands hand and had a conference with him? :) That is way amazing though that he is given such a blessing to know all about a person by looking into their eyes and shaking their hand.
Saturday! We (the missionaries) are going to be the judges for the
chili, desserts, costumes, and the decorated trunks. I am so excited!
Hahaha. Also, on Halloween, we have to be in the apartment before
6:00, and it's Preparation Day. So we literally don't even have to
leave the apartment all day if we wanted to hahahaha. I think we are
going to do a district activity on Halloween, though, so we won't just
sit there all day. Haha
Dad didn't mention anything about what he ordered. It sounds exciting
though! Do you have a picture of what it is?
That is sad that you have to be released from being the best Stake
Young Women's President ever! That's okay, though, because now you get
to be the best Stake Trek Trail Bosses ever! Yay! I am so happy that
you get the opportunity to speak to everyone in Stake Conference! I
get to speak in sacrament meeting this Sunday. They just told us about
it yesterday, so hopefully I can get a good enough talk written by
then. They asked 3 out of the 4 missionaries serving in Plainview to
speak on whatever we want out of Preach My Gospel. I think I might
talk about member missionary work haha :)
I love you too, Mom! I can't believe it has already been more than 3
months since I entered the MTC! Time has flown by. I only have this
last week until I am done being a trainee hahaha. It has been super
good, though, and I have learned TONS! Missionary work is the
greatest!
Love you!

ELDER SNELL: Haha :) that's kind of funny haha :) she loves you, though!

Thank you for all of your wonderful emails and letters that you have sent are the best part of my week. I look forward to them, even though I have been really busy at work, I try to get a chance to read them right away.
We had a fun work party at Cornbellys. It's a place by Thanksgiving point that has a corn maze and lots of fun stuff. It's more geared for little kids but we still had fun. It was way windy and very cold though. We had a Chilli cook off and i was going to just grab a can of chilli and enter it. But do you think Dad would let me do that......um, no. There was no way he was going to have anyone associate him with a can of chilli, cuz everyone at work knows I don't cook much. So he started cooking up a storm. He put many things in it that we had at home including his homemade bbq sauce. Everyone loved it! Dad won first place in the voting. I was the collector of votes but I promise I didn't cheat. Linda won second and Shaun 3rd. We had to do everything in fast forward because the wind was just blowing so hard and it was sooooo cold. So no one stayed very long. But I did go and try the maze. Dad and Lexie did the BINGO blackout card- you find all the stations in the maze to fill up a BINGO card. I on the other hand did not. i only found 1 and pretty much just walked around with Kris and her husband Perry. Dad and Lexie had gone in the maze without me. But it was all good.
Here is our picture in the cute rocking chair. (see attached)
I hope you liked the sunset pictures I sent you earlier this week. The minute I saw it I knew I had to take the pictures and send them to you. Do you get sunset pics there at all?
Transfers are coming up in a few weeks right? Or a week. ? We are leaving for St George this Friday. I hope that Davis does amazing!!!!
Did Dad tell you what he ordered? I'm excited to see Mr Hendricks face when we unveil his picture. We're still trying to decide if we do it just at a practice or do we do it at a show. Tami said to do it at a show, but I think we should at least get Mr Baileys thought??? btw, its a surprise! I'm kinda nervous for the chaperone part of the trip though cuz the head chaperone is not Bonnie and this new lady doesn't know anything about being a chaperone. So we shall see how it goes. Disneyland should be fun though.
We rolled out our theme song for Trek to the Stake Youth Committee tonight. I showed them the video Troy made. I'm really excited. They should be calling the Ma's and Pa's here soon. The Lord definitely knows who he wants to serve and is making it happen. I did get info that I will be released as Stake Young Women's President on November 6th at Stake Conference. btw, i was just asked to speak at the Adult session of Stake Conference on Saturday Nov 5th. I'm grateful for that opportunity! My talk is on Conversion, so if you want to send me any thoughts that you have about that topic that would be awesome!
I love you buddy! Your the best Example ever. Thank you for all that you do and the amazing hard things you are doing there in New York. ahh..I still can't believe you are in New York and not just up at Weber State at Camp Helaman. I know the Lord is keeping you safe and is helping you every step of the way!
Love Always,
Your Mom!
"btw the subject of this email was a phrase Lexie just said as she was laying on my bed so I added it for the subject :)"
ELDER SNELL: Sounds like Cornbelly's was a lot of fun! I haven't ever heard of it.
We are having a chili cook off with our ward and the spanish ward onSaturday! We (the missionaries) are going to be the judges for the
chili, desserts, costumes, and the decorated trunks. I am so excited!

MOM: Hi buddy!!!! do you have anything fun planned today for Preparation day?
ELDER SNELL: Elder Jensen put Sister Tarnasky and Sister Nash in charge of planning a district activity. They wanted to go on a hike, but it was supposed to rain today. We might end up going if it doesn't rain. If it does rain, we are just going to email and do family history hahaha :)
MOM: Awesome! We started doing the names you sent to me. .............I totally forgot to tell you that Elaina and I went and did baptisms for the names you found. We did all the females. I love her. It was awesome to go to the temple with her. We stopped by and visited my dad after and then go RB's icecream. It was great!
ELDER SNELL: Elaina told me! That is super awesome!!! I am so jealous that I can't be there to work on them too! Elaina and I have done that exact same thing several times. We would go to the temple, go visit Grandpa, and then finish our trip with an RB's ice cream :) How is Elaina doing?
MOM: She seems to b doing good. She had told me she was getting a different feeling from me and I totally freaked out that she would think I felt any different toward her.
The only times I saw her lately had b en at band competitions and we were busy trying to get stuff loaded or unloaded and then she was taking to lots of people so I didn't want to interrupt. So I told her how much I loved her and then made sure we hung out this weekend. So hopefully she doesn't feel a weird vibe from me. Ha ha. She is amazing.
ELDER SNELL: Haha :) that's kind of funny haha :) she loves you, though!
How is Lexie doing? I haven't heard from her yet :)
