Sup fro MOM!

AUGUST 28, 2018

Hiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!

That's Hi! But excited and drawn out. Ha ha

So many people have told me they sent you recipes. So do you still need anymore? Is there any that you want that we make? Ha Ha. Cereal, you put it in a bowl and then pour milk over it. eat it with a spoon. Ha Ha. That's my specialty.

Here's a hug from your mom.....(((CADEN)))

I guess that's the best I can do for now. Thank you for sending your letters! I love reading them.

I know you don't write everything that is going on. I really hope you are doing good. It's ok if you have had some bad days or moments. You already told me you wouldn't tell me if you did, but I just want you to know I'd be ok if you told me. I'm sure you can guess that McKay doesn't hold back with her Mom, LOL!!! Sounds like things are not good in Mexico.....but then again, they weren't always that great here for her either, huh.

Everyone tells me how much they love your letters. President Hogge just raves about you. I'm so glad that you LOVE President Reynolds so much. He is a great role model and you can learn TONS from him. You have the best heart and are such a hard worker that you could apply all that he teaches. Thank you for being such an amazing example. We watched our Trek video that was made from 2013, it was epic, ha ha. You were on it tons, I told Zac that's because you were so willing to go back and help everyone with the river crossing. Zac said that you said you were going to keep going back so you could be on video, Ha ha!!!! Either way, you are amazing at service and that's awesome that you have had many opportunities to serve.

How is your umbrella working out? Is it holding up?

I am very grateful for the opportunities that we get to serve, I just always thought that the Trail Boss's had an overwhelming job and it wasn't something that I wanted to do........but I know the Lord want's dad and I to do this so we are pressing forward to do it. Many people come up to us and tell us how amazing Trek will be because the Snell's are in charge. Do you know how intimidating that is.....everyone already has high expectations and we met with Brother Baker and Welch and it is a ton to do. But I think about it and I think if Caden can be out serving a mission, I can learn and grow through putting together Trek, right?

I love you buddy. You are the inspiration to keep me going to know I can keep doing hard things. I've been doing pretty good with things at work. I've been working really hard to just remember that the LORD is there and will hep me with ANYTHING!!!! Nothing is impossible with the Lord, right!!!

Elaina came over yesterday and we loved just sitting and talking and hearing about her adventures at USU. We sat and looked through old videos and pictures of you. It was awesome!

It was Lexie's Bday yesterday, maybe you saw the pictures I posted. it was a good one. Oh, did I tell you that Lexie got asked out on a date last week? I probably did. It was Matt Eberhart. She was just like, um, um, I'm only 14. Ha Ha. She was very nice though. I might have to fight off the guys that want to ask her out this year. JK.

LOVE YOU BUDDY!!!

I Pray for you every day and every night!!!! You are always in my prayers. You are an amazing Son and we are so proud of the Man that you are!

Love you Always!!!!

Mom

Here is a pic of the tracking app for your mission. Elaina said that this pic makes it not look so long..... :)

ELDER SNELL: Hi Mommy!!!

I have only gotten recipes from Elaina, but it's all good :) we are
doing pretty well. I do for sure want our German pancake recipe and
any other that you think I would like though. We are definitely
utilizing cereal :) haha

Thanks for the hug Mom! Consider yourself hugged as well :P hahaha

I haven't really had the chance to read McKay's letters yet, but it
doesn't surprise me that she doesn't hold back haha

Really? Because I feel like my letters are terrible hahaha. So much
happens, it's hard to explain everything! Then, after I send the
letter, I think of things I should've put in it hahaha. Oh well. I'm
glad people enjoy them hahaha :P

No no no. I didn't even know they were videoing the river crossing.
Well, at least it never crossed through my mind. I just liked walking
in the water hahaha.

I actually have only used it once at the MTC... It rains a bunch here,
but somehow it only rains when we are at the church... Huh. We did get
stuck in the rain once while knocking, so we sprinted back to the car
trying to protect our pamphlets and Book of Mormons :)

I know for a fact that they called the right people for trail boss! I
don't know exactly what that entails for you and dad, but I doubt it's
easy. Much like missionary work, if you lose yourself in the work, you
will find much more success and have way more fun! I'm sure you have
heard this before, but don't feel intimidated by everyone's
expectations. Plan the trek that Heavenly Father wants you to plan,
and everyone's expectations will be blown out of the water :)

Oh goodness... Elaina has a LOT of dirt on me with those videos and
pictures ;) hahaha keep watching out for her. She really looks up to
you and loves you :) you have a unique gift to be able to always make
people happy. No matter what! :)

Hahaha! Good luck with Lexie! She is super sweet to everyone and that
will attract a bunch of guys hahahahaha! I know a lot about a bunch of
the guys she hangs out with, so if you have questions about anyone,
let me know ;) hahaha

Thank you Mom! I feel your prayers and the prayers of others everyday.
Miracles do happen and people's lives have been blessed because of
your prayers. I have seen it first hand :) I love you Mom! Thank you
for everything that you do for me and everyone around you.

Love ya!
Elder Snell

MOM: Ok, now I'm in tears reading your letter!

You said all the things I needed to hear. Thank you so much for listening. You are the Best!

I love you so much Caden!!! I will work on the recipe's.

THANK YOU !!!! LOVE YOU
Mom

ELDER SNELL: Hey, I didn't include this in my letter, but I felt like I should tell you :)

Yesterday, we went over to a member's house for dinner and to teach a FHE lesson. When we were leaving, the mom and her 20 year old son followed us out the door and sat on the front steps. They were talking with us and the mom mentioned that her son (who said he really wanted to serve a mission) actually had a call and lasted in the MTC for 5 weeks. He was having major panic attacks in the MTC and had to come home. He was very evasive of the topic, but his mom kept talking about it. He feels like he has to be an example to his younger siblings (who he feels are slipping from the church) and that he let them down. Their dad is having some family issues and the mom feels like she has the weight of keeping the family together in the church on her shoulders. The mom started crying, so I started crying. I could literally feel exactly what the mom and son were feeling. Elder Jensen wasn't talking at all, so I tried to help as best I could. It was mostly just the mom and son talking to each other. It was definitely an experience I will never forget. I didn't put it in my email because I think it is hard to understand haha. I could feel the love the mom felt, the shame the son felt, the burden the mom felt, and the love Heavenly Father has for all of them and I had just met them for the first time right then.

You can share this with others if you want, I just didn't want to have such a huge letter for people to read :) haha

Love you!

MOM: What a special gift you were given to be able to have that experience. You were open to the spirit to teach you and he gave you that gift. I'm so glad you shared. Love You!!!!
