Surprise for Mr Hendricks

Whaz up Elder Snell :)

Hey buddy! 

I am writing you all the way from California. You are on one coast and I am on the other. Crazy!!!

so this week has been fun but way exhausting!!!! Dad is a maniac!!!! I can't believe what a work horse he is. He worked tirelessly all day every day to load and unload and fix and set up so many things for this years St George performances. I helped too but Dad worked way hard!!!! He was non stop dripping with sweat.

But anyway, we got to St George and got ready for the practice. We loaded up the big screen that dad bought of Mr Hendricks face. We pushed it out on the field so he didn't see it. Then we waited for them to run the show. The guard director had told him that they wanted to practice a piece with them so he knew they needed to run that part. 

It was at the very end of the practice that they got to it and they played up to turning around the photos. And he said, "oh my heck" and then started bawling with his head down. I would send the video but I didn't know if you could watch it but it was soooooooooo fun to see him get so emotional! it was awesome. It was a major surprise. Then he approved that we could use it in the show that night. I'm really glad we did it at practice so the kids could see his reaction and they all yelled, "we love you Mr Hendricks". 


Dad was awesome at getting that all set up!!!!

Then they performed that night. They did good but not their best. They placed 2nd still though. No captions. Then BOA they placed 6th. Crazy scoring there...... everyone was disappointed that Davis didn't place higher but everyone had such an amazing time and the kids of course know they did they're best on Saturday and thats all that counts. Lexie is so awesome! She did a great job. and she is so positive and loves it!

So many people have thanked Dad and I for all that we have done. we did end up unloading almost the whole semi with only 4 of us on Saturday. No bueno!!!!

Anyway, so here we are at California. We are getting ready to go tomorrow, way early. The kids are marching tomorrow so tis will be fun. I have thought so much about you. Cora posted this pic of you that I am including. It's one of my favorites!!! 

I hope you are doing so good. I guess transfers are coming up here this week. Will you be able to let us know where you are going? I have so many people this week ask how you are doing. 

I am preparing a talk for Stake Conference like I told you last week and it was crazy how I have been trying to write it and I had lots of things i have been thinking about but not anything solid yet. But today on the bus it all of a sudden hit me exactly what I was going to say and it flowed. I wrote it all out and now I have my talk. I'm really excited to share my testimony and my conversion to the gospel everyday! 

I love you Caden and you MAKE YOUR MOTHER PROUD everyday!!!!!

MOM: One more thing I wanted to share :)

So we were lined up at the back of the field getting ready to push on for the bands final performance. I lead the group of backdrops and we push almost to the end zone and the band comes by to fill up the end zone. Well Mr Hendricks was leading the band to their spot and he came straight over to me and gave me a huge hug. Wow!!! It was funny because you know how we are all tight jugglers and I just gave him a great hug back and he said. Wow. That was a hug. 😬. 

Anyway. That meant a lot. And Mr He sticks bragged about Dad to the band and made sure that they all totally appreciated what he did for them. I have loved it!!!!!!

Ok. Love you love mom.

ELDER SNELL: Awesome!! I am so jealous that you got to go on a band trip! Hahaha are you having fun?

MOM: We r having fun. But not as much fun without you 😊

Time Flys Fast!

June 25, 2017 Hey buddy!!! How are you? Hows the weather been? Still crazy rainy? It's been way hot here. I loved your video of the rain. That was crazy sauce.  This week has been good. Not too crazy, just working and spending time with Dad as much as I can. Today is our 25th Anniversary, crazy! Life really goes by so fast.  We are watching the drum corps right now. Cool but they will get better with time. YO YO YO ONE YEAR!!!!

July 16 2017 WOWZERS!!!! I can't believe you will have been on a mission for 1 whole year on the 20th........ CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! This world is flying by so fast and I can't even keep up. I can't believe we are already going to be going on trek in 10 days. Any you have been gone almost 365 days.. WHAT... Well, I can't wait to hear all about your new opportunities. I pray you are looking to the Lord to help you do everything. I was thinking about that today and it's something I'm going to share with they youth on Trek. It is easy to get so overwhelmed with everything that is coming at you and all the responsibility that seems to pile up. Sometimes I just want to go in my closet and cry. I think, no way, I can't do one more thing. And then guess what? I pray to My Father in Heaven and somehow he makes things work out. Testimony of Trek

August 6 2017 Hello Buddy!!! Wow, these weeks are flying by so fast!!! I started writing my Trek book and it's about 6 pages now and I am only on the first trekking day. Ha Ha. Ya, probably too much details that I am putting into it but I will give you a quicker version.  I had already told you how we were setting it all up for gear drop off and how we were getting everyone to the stake center that morning. Well, the night before I heard the rain and thunder...... oh man. I went into my closet to pray that I know Heavenly Father needs us to learn something on trek but I did ask if it be his will would he temper the weather. Ha Ha, here I am asking for the weather not to be too hot and also not to be rainy.  So at drop off we had many youth that didn't show up and ended up not coming and some that said they will show up in the morning. We also had a Ma and Pa decide not to come and didn't tell us. We didn't know until the night before we left. WOW. It's...
