The Lord Hears You!
DECEMBER 4, 2016
Hi Elder Snell :)
Happy December!!! It's so crazy how fast the days go. I can't believe
it's already been a year since the Joint Commission came. Well, a year
from Dec 8th. But WOW!!! Crazy. What a year.......
I have reflected on this year and I can say without a doubt that the
main thing i have learned is to have FAITH and KNOW that The Lord IS
there and He WILL help me. He will be there to protect me and to guide
me through the Gift of the Holy Ghost. The scriptures bear witness of
this and so do I. I wasn't planning on bearing my testimony today but
there was just such huge gaps and then the spirit told me it was my
turn. i wasn't really prepared but I shared what was in my heart and
it was basically that. That i knew that The Lord is there. That the
moment you say, Heavenly Father....he is already listening and hears
you.
I have probably told you this so many times but this week we had an
aide give a patient too much medication in which she isn't even
supposed to give any patients any medications and it caused the
patient to be over dosed. I worried and worried. We did everything
that we should have to help the patient and she basically just had to
sleep until the medication wore off. But I worried so much and then
the spirit spoke to me and reminded me that all was in The Lords
hands. The nurse called the DR and implemented what the Dr said. So
therefore, the MD was now responsible for what the outcome would be.
We did all we could do and it was the same with The Lord. we did all
we could do and now i needed to stop worrying and KNOW that what ever
happens is the Lords will. This gave me a lot of comfort.
I am so grateful for the knowledge i have. I am grateful for the
opportunities I get to share that with others. I have felt the spirit
so much already this Christmas season. Usually I don't feel too much
about Christmas because Dad is so busy and it's just a busy time. But
I LOVE the initiative for #LIGHTtheWORLD that you shared and I have
been doing the service suggested everyday so far. It really has helped
me to feel Christ's love and to feel the spirit of Christmas.
I have been praying for Gary to continue on the path he has chosen and
to get baptized. You are such a great example to me Caden!!!! I LOVE
your happiness and positivity. I LOVE that you said how could you NOT
be happy because you are serving the LORd. So True!!!
Dad and I have been working really hard on Trek. We've had some
meetings and a lot of emails to get things set up and started. I just
finished entering all the emails that we have into contacts so we can
start a big group email to get out information. We are still waiting
for everyone to get called. we had planned to have an orientation
training this month but not everyone is called yet so it will be
postponed until next month. which is ok. we are still on track. Yay!
I really can't believe we will have probably 650-700 people. Good
thing The Lord is in charge.
Since you can watch video, I'm going to send you the video Troy put
together for our Trek Song.
I'm sending pics of The Temple from Friday Morning when I went, I
know, i need to do a selfie next time......
Also, I took Lexie, Addie and Megan downtown to see the lights and we
got Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory and ate it at the food
court. We did this because they aren't old enough to go to the
Christmas Dance. I was they're date....Dad came and joined us as soon
as he finished recording his part of harmonica for a song at the U of
U. you should ask him about it if he doesn't already just tell you.
Oh, we saw a choir of Sister Missionaries at temple square, and yes, I
am wearing Lexie's leopard scarf, hat. I may have gotten a few
stares.....
Then our stake had a Night of Nativity at the church. I don't know if
you knew about that before, but this year I took mine over. It was fun
to share. Lexie and Megan did the dress ups that they had for the kids
but use their own blankets. Ha Ha.
I love you so much Buddy!!! I pray for you everyday!!!
Love Always, Mommy!
