Elder SNELL!

Hi Buddy!

I'm so excited to write to you! I'm so glad that things have been going really good with you and Elder Jensen. I'm sure you are getting tons of emails because you have so many friends. But hopefully you will have time to read mine :) I miss you tons! I've gone in your room and hung out a few times. It really needs to be cleaned up. Ha Ha. too bad you won't be able to do it.......

Well, It's awesome how the Lord likes to prepare us for what is coming. I'm grateful for the heads up that he gives me when new callings are coming. I wasn't 100% positive of what was going to happen on Tuesday when we met with President Hogge, but I wasn't 100% surprised when he extended our calling. The surprise that I had was that Dad and I were called to another calling but weren't released from our other callings. Well, President Hogge said right away, we aren't going to release you from your callings. That was a shock, because then he hesitated to say that we have a calling for both Dad and I. He took a little bit to explain how the Lord worked through him and President Baker and how they have had several names for this calling and they felt a stupor of thought with all the others. Then President Hogge said this was a very Sweet experience of knowing it had to be Dad and I when he and President baker were going to meet one last time because they needed to get this calling filled. They were both supposed to bring a name and meet. When they met, they both had the same name of The Snell's. President Hogge testified to us that he didn't know why that sometimes the same people are the ones that are called to important positions but he KNEW The Lord wanted us. 

So, Dad and I will start working on Trek for next year. We already got Lynette's big binders to copy all the information that we have been given in the past. It's full of great lessons and meal plans and itineraries to follow. I know I should feel overwhelmed but at this time I feel at peace because I know this is the Lords Trek and it will all work out how he wants it to work out. I know it will probably be hard but I realize now why I had to go through the last 8 months of PURE TRIALS to be refined and shiny ready to serve. There have been many who have served who didn't know how things were going to work out but that is something that I have NO DOUBT about now, that The Lord will provide a way. 

We'll have to keep you posted on our progress but we are going to be set apart on Thursday and go from there.

I am working on sending recipes. Not sure how cheep some are but do you have german pancakes already? I think you probably have them memorized. Of course, hamburger helpers are always cheap and very easy to make. You know I'm really good at those. Ha Ha. 

Lexie is at a sleepover at Grandma Woods right now. She wanted to have a sleep over before school started. 

we also had a GREAT Surprise bday party for Grandmas 70 bday. She was really surprised!!! Your letter to her was awesome! You have such a testimony and President Hogge just raved about what an amazing young man you are. I love you tons. Sorry this got so long.

Wow! So you and Dad are the trail bosses for trek? That's awesome! I
know it won't be easy for you, but I also know that the Lord called
the right people! You two will make it the best trek ever! I don't
doubt that for a second. I am very jealous that I won't be able to go
on that trek haha

I'm glad that Grandma enjoyed her letter :) I definitely learned a lot
while writing it. Mikell is married now! That's crazy! She looked very
happy in the pictures, so that's good :)

I love you Mom! Thank you for all that you do for me and everyone else
around you! I hope work hasn't been too stressful for you recently :)

Time Flys Fast!

June 25, 2017 Hey buddy!!! How are you? Hows the weather been? Still crazy rainy? It's been way hot here. I loved your video of the rain. That was crazy sauce.  This week has been good. Not too crazy, just working and spending time with Dad as much as I can. Today is our 25th Anniversary, crazy! Life really goes by so fast.  We are watching the drum corps right now. Cool but they will get better with time. YO YO YO ONE YEAR!!!!

July 16 2017 WOWZERS!!!! I can't believe you will have been on a mission for 1 whole year on the 20th........ CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! This world is flying by so fast and I can't even keep up. I can't believe we are already going to be going on trek in 10 days. Any you have been gone almost 365 days.. WHAT... Well, I can't wait to hear all about your new opportunities. I pray you are looking to the Lord to help you do everything. I was thinking about that today and it's something I'm going to share with they youth on Trek. It is easy to get so overwhelmed with everything that is coming at you and all the responsibility that seems to pile up. Sometimes I just want to go in my closet and cry. I think, no way, I can't do one more thing. And then guess what? I pray to My Father in Heaven and somehow he makes things work out. Testimony of Trek

August 6 2017 Hello Buddy!!! Wow, these weeks are flying by so fast!!! I started writing my Trek book and it's about 6 pages now and I am only on the first trekking day. Ha Ha. Ya, probably too much details that I am putting into it but I will give you a quicker version.  I had already told you how we were setting it all up for gear drop off and how we were getting everyone to the stake center that morning. Well, the night before I heard the rain and thunder...... oh man. I went into my closet to pray that I know Heavenly Father needs us to learn something on trek but I did ask if it be his will would he temper the weather. Ha Ha, here I am asking for the weather not to be too hot and also not to be rainy.  So at drop off we had many youth that didn't show up and ended up not coming and some that said they will show up in the morning. We also had a Ma and Pa decide not to come and didn't tell us. We didn't know until the night before we left. WOW. It's...
