Week One!

JULY 29TH, 2016

Hola Buddy!

It's been a week and 2 days.....Holy Moly. It still feels like maybe you went to Camp Helaman or to Scout Camp or Band Camp and you will be back soon......

I feel like the luckiest Mom though to already received 2 emails and one letter from you!!!! Yay!!! I'm sitting here in the computer room right now trying to write my talk for McKay's farewell on Sunday. I can't come up with an opening.... Maybe I'll tell your joke again. Ha Ha. But really I'm excited to talk about Ether 12:27 

 27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.

 I feel like this scripture has been a theme for me lately and I have had to work REALLY hard to humble myself and have faith. So, I'll send you a copy of my talk for my next email, sound good? 

I'm debating if I should share the babysitting and bike incident or not.....what do you think. Ha Ha. Was it you and Zac and Jake? I can't remember the whole story, That's the problem with me telling stories is I forget the most important parts. But, i think you were there so you can retell me the story so I  get it right :)

We celebrated Zac's Bday on Wednesday. We went to Empire Chinese restaruant for all you can eat. It was yummy, Zac kept playing with his shrimp, so I took a pic. Ha Ha. See pic #1

Then we came home for Home Made German Chocolate Cake. We invited the Hadleys to come sing and Grandma Wood came too. See pic #2. I thought maybe we would be able to get away from the screaming Bday song because Zac wasn't singing. but no, it still happened. ugh. 

I was sitting in your room earlier just chilling. No, it's not cleaned, it's still the way you left it.............

I called Elaina yesterday just to see how she was doing. We had a girls night out last Friday night, that pic Patrice sent you that I forwarded, was from that night. It was fun to hang out. I LOVE Elaina. I hope she keeps coming over and hanging out with me. I have in the calendar that we are supposed to watch a movie together on Saturday. I hope she can still come. 

Last Pic is Lexie with my cutest dog Chip. She thinks she's funny and thinks Chip loves her....well, i'm sure he does but he still waits for you.... :) See Pic #3

I'm so grateful to read your testimony and that things are amazing there. Hopefully this last week was as good as your first few days. I love that you guys get to go to the temple! BTW, how are the sports playing? 

Well, I'll share my testimony in my talk for your letter next week but I sure am grateful that I had the opportunity to share it with you when you were set apart. That was a very special night for me and one where I felt the angels were all around and the spirit was so strong. You are a stripling warrior and I know that you know that your mother knows. 

I love you so much Caden. Keep on, Keeping on in the strength of the Lord.

ELDER SNELL: OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!! MOM!!!!!!! This week, I had a super cool experience with Ether 12!!! I will share it in my weekly letter :)

Thanks for the pictures! In the email, and the letter you sent me! Receiving letters and packages from home are really the greatest things out here as missionaries! :) I'm sure your talk will be amazing, as always! ;)

Elaina said that she had been thinking about you ALL day, and then you randomly called her! She really appreciated it and said it was a blessing :)
